Biography

Hailing from Toronto and Mississauga, ON, Renata Lang is a mixed-race woman working as the Business Diversity Officer (St. John's) with ANC. She has called Conception Bay South, NL her home for the last 15 years. Renata obtained a B.A. in Political Science and Certificate in Public Policy from Memorial University. Serving two terms on the MUN Students' Union executive, she worked alongside university administration, government, and colleagues nation-wide to advance student issues & human rights. A former rugby player and musical performer, presently, in her spare time she organizes with local grassroots groups and lends her voice to audio recording/broadcasting and hosting events.

Meeting Description

The January meeting will feature the Association for New Canadians. You are in for a treat for the January 28, 2023 meeting with the Renata Lang, Business Diversity Officer and senior presenter with the Association for New Canadians. Renata will provide an insight into the service that the Association for New Canadians performs for New Canadians, and will share insights and newcomer stories from her work with the Association.
